July was an exciting month for us. We recognized a couple employee milestones, celebrated a few birthdays, and had our first ever family dinner! But before we say goodbye to July and hello to August, let’s take a look at what’s been going here at Melrose this past month!

Employee Milestones

Please give our very own, Laura Cramer, a round of applause for earning June’s Employee of the Month honors! Every month, the Melrose team members submit their individual votes for who they think deserves special recognition. Team members awarded Laura for her attention to detail, eagerness to help others, dedication, amazing copy editing skills, and her overall happy and helpful attitude, just to name a few. Thanks, Laura, for everything you do for us!

In other exciting news, we celebrated Conor O’Higgins’ one year anniversary working at Melrose! Conor is one of our Senior Account Executives and a digital nomad who sometimes works from the Melrose office here in LA, but often remotes from Costa Rica or his native country of Ireland. Conor is a talented writer, hard worker, and crypto whiz with a sharp sense of humor. Congratulations, Conor, and happy one year anniversary!

Birthdays on Birthdays on Birthdays

We wished a big happy birthday to all THREE of our July babies: Tamara, Sarah, and Laura (they are now accepting chocolates and flowers as belated birthday gifts). We celebrated Tamara’s birthday with her favorite dulce de leche cake, which was delicious by the way. For Sarah and Laura’s birthdays, which happen to be one day apart, we put together a decadent cheese and charcuterie spread. We hope that all three of our birthday ladies had fun on their special days – the rest of us here at Melrose were certainly happy to help them celebrate.

Family Dinner

At the end of July, we had our first ever family dinner. Melrose team members and their significant others came in to eat, drink, laugh, play games, and have a good time. Our food was catered by Torrance restaurant, Hey19, and fun was provided by HeadsUp (aka: BEST APP EVER). Perhaps we’ll have to make this a monthly or bi-monthly thing…
